Written by Glennon Doyle, Untamed is a work of art. Although it is categorized as a self help book, it reads more like a memoir with Glennon sharing her journey, her stories, but not telling you how to live.
Written by Jon Kabat-Zinn himself, this is a fantastic introduction to what mindfulness is and how to practice mindfulness in your own life. Broken up into short, readable chapters, the book is a great "how to" guide.
Written by Francine Shapiro, the creator of EMDR therapy (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This book is designed to help anyone (therapist, client, someone experiencing trauma, a loved one of someone with trauma, etc) understand EMDR techniques, theories, and tips. ***This is an intense read.
