The Wellness Syndrome

This book is fantastic looking at the 'dark side' of wellness. It discusses a lot of research on the self help era and is very eye opening in a lot of ways. This book is not against wellness, it is very pro wellness, it just looks at how wellness can unfortunately often take a turn for the worse.

How To Be Fine

Jolenta Greenberg and Kristen Meinzer have a podcast called 'By The Book' where they live by a different self help book every two weeks. This book is a compilation of what they learned (and unlearned) by living by the book. Definitely an awesome read. Helps to look at both the good and bad sides of self help and is very empowering to find what works best for you!

Untamed

Written by Glennon Doyle, Untamed is a work of art. Although it is categorized as a self help book, it reads more like a memoir with Glennon sharing her journey, her stories, but not telling you how to live.

Law of Attraction Planner

I am obsessed with my planner. If I don't use my planner, then my brain feels like it's a complete mess! This planner helps by asking yearly, monthly, and weekly goals to keep you on track!

Wherever You Go, There You Are

Written by Jon Kabat-Zinn himself, this is a fantastic introduction to what mindfulness is and how to practice mindfulness in your own life. Broken up into short, readable chapters, the book is a great "how to" guide.

Weighted Blanket

Weighted blankets are proven effective for helping to calm anxiety. Not only that, but they're cozy and comfortable. I personally get hot, so I like this version that is cooling!

Getting Past Your Past

Written by Francine Shapiro, the creator of EMDR therapy (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing). This book is designed to help anyone (therapist, client, someone experiencing trauma, a loved one of someone with trauma, etc) understand EMDR techniques, theories, and tips. ***This is an intense read. Please stop reading if it feels triggering to you.
